Origin

"The Defenders" grew out of a two-year confrontation with Wilson Fisk, aka "The Kingpin of Crime," who was responsible for producing the deadly designer drug IGH, as well as orchestrating the mass bombings of tenements and low-income housing in Hell's Kitchen. The group was credited for putting the Kingpin behind bars in September 2018.
