Ideologies Clash in Albany

Countless papers and local New York news stations are carrying the story of yesterday's violent clash between pro-registration advocacy group "Moms for Transparency" and an unidentified group of counter-protestors in front of the capitol building in Albany, NY over the controversial MPASS bill.

There's footage of police breaking up a brawl to be found across sources, of an interview given by Cheryl Faber - president of Moms for Transparency, the intrusion of at least three known metahumans, and no shortage of opinions. Witnesses say that it was definitely the counter protestors who threw the first punch, and Faber was released in the early evening after being admitted for injuries sustained during the encounter.

In response, the New York capitol security team has cordoned off State Street for the remainder of this year's session, restricting use of the two parking garages facing the capitol to those working in the capitol or there on officially sanctioned state business.

Demonstrators are being subjected to searches, and there’s some talk about requiring special permits for any rallies.

The opinions over the sources are fairly split in sympathy, but it’s very hard to find anyone who comes across as unbiased in their coverage.
