Fade In…

Late afternoon. Not so late that the shops are shut, but late enough that people are starting to filter home and shopkeepers are beginning their prep to close for the evening.

Since hearing from Kane that there is ''another'' redheaded Batgirl in Gotham, Oracle has been searching for her even though she's not really sure what she looks like except maybe that she's dressed like a bat with red hair.

Finally, a few blocks from the Clocktower, a flaming haired woman dressed in a 'bat like' costume foils a hold up as Oracle watches on her video feeds. As soon as she see's the woman appear, Oracle sends a message to a bike courier depot nearest this woman and waits.

~ A few blocks over ~

A bike courier pulls out of the depot with the plain, cardboard box and heads towards the shop the woman is currently protecting. It takes a few minutes for the courier to get there, allowing Batwoman to finish up her work there but just as she does she hears a ''brrring brrring'' of a bike bell and someone calling to her "Hey, you that looks like a Bat, I have a package for you."

***

Kate Kane brushes off some debris from her shoulders as she is done with her work in the shop, following her secret idol's way not to use any firearms but not to follow Gandhi's force-less way of resistance. She rolls her head and rubs her aching neck, where she got some blow against, having another nasty bruise in the next days which she has to cover with a lot of make up or pretty silken scarfs. As she leaves the shop to soon run away, not wanting to be around when the called GCPD will arrive, pauses in her walk to the closet alley where she parked her own bike and hmms, her head turning as she follows the noise and call, "I look like a bat?!" she wonders as she slowly approaches the boy, her flamish red long hair nearly glowing in the evening sun, "Gimme." she simply tells and extends her right hand, heavily protected and shielded by her modern body armor.

***

The courier is not phased and hands over the plain package to the abrupt red head. "Have a nice afternoon" she says as she rides away.

The package has a note stuck to the top "Open Me". That's it, other discernable markings.

***

Kate Kane hmmsa nd shakes the small package, wondering what noises come out of it and even holds it to the side of her mask/helmet to check for any ticking … "if this is some stupid bomb, I gonna be.' she murmurs and sighs, her curiosiy will one day kill her, but at least she first moves into the dark alley around the corner, climing on the large black motorbike before she opens the package, her lips tightly clenched together as she might fear the small thing in her hands could still explode.

***

Inside the box is a simple mobile phone, again, no markings but a label that says == Press Send ==

***

Kate Kane hmms and indeed pushes the marked button, wondering who will be on the other side, good or bad one.

***

In the Clocktower, a single dialogue box appears on the screens ? == Incoming Call == and a number. Oracle smiles whilst watching the other red hair woman out on the street. Tapping her comms unit, the woman replies "Hello, I am Oracle, friend of the Bats and I believe we have a certain druid as a mutual acquaintance."

***

Kate Kane ooohs and nearly drops the phone in surprise and shock, not expecting this… "I…" she starts to stammer, but than the many years of her training, the background of the soldier kicks in as she lifts the phone again up to her cheek, "What you want?" she wonders.

***

"You're fighting crime in Bat territory, it's my role to find out who you are." Oracle watches the womans surprise and smiles slightly. "It may be that I can offer you assistance in your work." the redhead in the Clocktower sits back as she talks.

***

Kate Kane oohs and she always thought she was clever, only her father knowing the truth, but she has to be realistic.. if you run each night around in a bat outfit, the real Bat will look one day after you…. "You belong to the Bat?" she wonders "then why should you even help me?" she is verxy suspicious, life was never be nice nor fair to Kate, so why should it be now… its a trap, Ridller's doing probably, "this is some stupid game for you?"

***

Oracle laughs before speaking, her voice digitally disguised through the layers of audio filters "No, I don't belong to the Bat. I work with their team, and many others, to provide support and assistance." There's a dead pause as the Clocktower redhead thinks "Game? I found you and offered a phone to speak to you. You haven't been attacked or harrassed. Is this the sign of someone who really means you harm?"

***

Kate Kane shrugs her shoulders even not viisivle to the other person on the delievered phone, "Sweet words are no proof as well." she tells, "and there are a lot of crazy people around.. who do talk sweet to you, until you turn your back to them." she states, "You are not even showing yourself, hiding behind some stupid phone.. NO, I dont trust you!" she simply states.

***

Oracle shrugs herself "Very well, a more than fair statement. Ask around about Oracle and then decide if you wish to talk further." Really, Oracle will just send one of the Bats after this woman. "Keep the phone. If you find you need assistance or backup, you may call on me. It is keyed to you only." The redhead sighs slightly before adding "Be aware though, you are working on Bat territory and Batman does not take kindly to that."

***

Kate Kane had either luck or was doing too less stress that she never draw out the big Bat himself on her person. "I.. I will be careful.2 she agrees, not wanting to stop her own way to do something good to the city, "But I dont need any help." she speaks in anger, not wanting to relay on somebody else, even being depended on somebody else, " I can look for myself." she states, as like speaking out would make it true, "You better look for some body else to help!" she frowns and shuts off the phone, and stares on it for a long time, her hand already moving to throw it away, but her hand wont open and she lets out a long sigh, "Crazy Kate." she scolds herself as she puts it into a small pocket of her utility belt and finally rides off, making sure not to bring the phone home or to her secret hide out.
