A Ghost and A Scandal Enter a Bar...

May 13, 2018:

Johnny Blaze and Scandal Savage end up meeting each other in a bar. Surprisingly, nothing bad happens.

Old Gotham - Gotham

Old Gotham is the 'hub' of the City it's here that the City Hall
District is located, the Cotham City Police department headquarters,
Cathedral Square, the Clocktower and the Financial District. A sprawl of low
buildings to high this area is heavily populated one can ssee Wayne Towers
in it's dominating skyward spire, the Buford Building, Port Adam's Plaza,
the Victorian-era Crystal Palace and Gotham Stock Exchange.
The residential areas of Old Gotham are Neville where the mid to
upperclass live, expensive lofts in Central Heights, squalid homes around
East Park Side and South Hook where many blue-collar workers and a good
portion of the GCPD called home until the Apokolips Invasion of 2016.
To the far south, across a bridge on a narrow isle (which there are
several out there) upon the Atlantic one can even see Blackgate
Penitentiary. Where some of the world's most dangerous men and women are
held.

Fade In…

Gotham City. A place filled with absolute crime.

….and really good beer.

A vaguely new bar called Hidden Spirits contained one Johnny Blaze. He had just gotten off his…erm…night job, as it were. Vengeance had been dished out, a -ton- of bad guys have paid for their sins in every which way, and now Johnny just needs some down time.

Sipping on a bottle of whiskey, he sits on a stool at the actual bar counter, looking to the corner of the room where a TV is showing off some plain football. Jets vs. Redskins. Good golly.

But…the night is still long. Who knows who or what Blaze could run into.

*

Another person is entering the bar. A person who doled out punishment but not necessarily for veneance sake. She did it for money. She was here in a pair of slick black leather pants and a tank top. Her arms were bare and a pair of thick black boots garnered her feet. She walks toward the bar, the short hair cut bobbing slightly as she passes beneath the air conditioning and then slides up on to a stool. She gestures for hte bartender to bring her a bottle of whiskey and two shot glasses before she pours a couple for herself and literealy downs both in a row before letting out a long hiss of something akin to relief mixed with burning.

*

As Scandal happens to enter the bar, Johnny turns his head slightly to look at her. He avoided reading on her soul because he's just that -tired-. He takes a long swig of the Whiskey and slams it down, before dropping the money for another bottle. "Hit me with another one Jack." he tells the bartender and sure enough, two bottles are produced for Johnny, though seeing Scandal also taking shots, he simply slides one of the bottles over to her. "Long night?" he asks simply, without sparing her a look.

*

With ease, she snatches the bottle, looks at him and tilts her head, "Long enough." She then pops his bottle open and chugs down a full third of it before slamming it down and looking at it. She smiles a little before turning her gaze to him again, "A lot of folks in this town really aren't well mannered." She shrugs and chuckles, "And sometimes they need a lesson in manners. Is what it is."

*

"Isn't that the truth…" he takes a long swig of his bottle until about half of it is easily gone before he slams it back down. "Well, notm any guys these days know manners when they go on 'dates'. Especially in this town." he shrugs lightly. "So…got a name, or are we just barely-willing drinking buds?" Johnny finally turns his head to look at her, likely in the eyes.

*

A tilt of her head at him and then she downs some more and…doesn't seem effected all that much even though she's two shots plus a half a bottle in, "Guys and dates rarely go well." She chuckles a little to herself and then shrugs, "And you are the one talking about names and you aren't even going ot give yours first? Manners, man. Manners. I'm Scandal." She nods her head, "And yes, you heard that right. My name is Scandal."

*

Johnny ends up chuckling lightly. "Not in this town anyway." a look then is given to Scandal as she says her name. "Huh, unique name. Haven't heard anyone have that for a name unless it was a stage name or a codename. But, still cool. I'm Johnny. I'm basic and plain by comparison of names." he looks back ahead, sipping on his whiskey. "Nice to meet you."

*

A nod and then she states, "It is nice to meet me." She chuckles and hten laughs more. She drinks more of her bottle and leans into the bar before saying, "So, Johnny Plain and Basic." SHe tilts her head, "What is it you are drinking about so hard?"

*

Johnny simply scoffs a little bit. "Heh, well, at least you're humble." he remarks at her 'it's nice to meet me' statement. Though it was more of a joke and jab at humor than anything else. "It's Blaze, bythe way. Johnny Blaze." the stunt man? anyway. "Simple. I like whiskey." No, he just finished finished ripping the souls out of like three people and sending them straight to hell. "You?"

*

"Just dealing with business." The business of beating the living hell out of a poor soul and his crew who decided they could sell drugs on someone's turf. It wasn't sending people to hell but it was a living. She looks at Johnny carefully before laughing, "And whiskey." She shrugs and then takes a chug before saying, "Though, now it is calling me away." She shrugs, "It is as it is."

*

"Hm, business." he echoes before he cracks his neck lightly. He does give his bottle a little swish in a shake as Scandal admits to a love of whiskey. "Heh, that's more like it." Johnny will offer his bottle to clink with her own in light respect before he sips his drink. "Oh well. Well then, you got a last name, Scandal? Or are you a first-name only type, if you don't mind me askin'."

*

"Savage." She simply responds and then shrugs before saying, "See ya later, Blaze." She nods her head, "Try not to drink yourself to death before we meet again." She then shrugs, "As for me, I think I need to get some sleep."

*

Johnny listens to the surname given and he huhs a moment. "Talk about unique. Safe travels Scandal, and likewise. I'm sure we'll meet up again. Maybe even same time same place." he shrugs lightly. "Rest well. See you when I see ya."
