Fade In…

Power Girl may have heard some rumblings about a new superhero who has recently surfaced (ha! Get it!? Surfaced! Because Terra comes from down under and all, it's good, honest!). She's been rumored to be surfing the skies on a rock (of all things) and being remarkably enarmored with the environment and such. Well, heard about her or not, Terra is up there in the sky surfing on her rock right now, keeping a lookout for potential trouble below!

*

Power Girl may be busy with her company, but she still has time for her patrols, and keeping an eye on the city. And honestly, it's hard to miss a girl on a rock. So the blonde powerhouse soars up through the sky in the direction of Rockgirl, the better to find out exactly what is going on. She flies up to match elevation, then hovers. "Huh. It's an actual rock. Somehow I figured it would be a tech thing that looked like a rock."

*

Terra notes Power Girl flying her way, and shifts a bit, moving to fly alongside Power Girl, "of course it's a rock, what else would it be?" Terra seems confused by Power Girl being preplexed at her mode of transportation, "I heard about you! You're Power Girl! A hero! That's a good thing! Because I'm a Champion of Justice! And good! My name is Terra!"

*

Power Girl chuckles. "Well, glad to hear the press is good." She hovers there, considering the rock. "I think I'd be nervous of falling off. Except I can fly." She seems a little curious, and asks "How old are you, Terra?"

*

"It can't fall off," Terra points out, a bit insulted at the suggestion she may not know what she's doing. Then again, maybe she misunderstood? She probably did! She steps aside and motions for Power Girl to hop on board, as the rock somehow becomes a bit longer to better accomodate another, "you can land on it and see for yourself!" Asked about her age, Terra crosses her arms, "why are you asking? You don't think I'm old enough? Well, I'm a Champion, I know what I'm doing, and I'm old enough!"

*

Power Girl floats over curiously, and will land on the rock. "More the "falling off the rock if it tips or there's a high wind." She tries to clarify. The protest about age kind of answers her question as far as she's concerned, but she mostly looks amused. "Whoa, whoa there, Sparky. I'm not trying to rock the…rock. Just asking questions." She offers a hand out. "I'm Kara."

*

The rock certainly feels solid enough and safe, but when Power Girl brings up the issue of falling off, Terra makes a gesture with her hands, an upside down grasping motion, and Power Girl will find the rock shifting to trap her feet, as if they had dug into the rock itself, "there! This is a good way to not fall," Terra offers with a grin, "easy, right?" Terra looks suspiciously at Power Girl, shifting closer, leaning in, giving a bit of an eye to eye glare. Well, not quite, she needs to look up to make it to Power Girl's eye level. "Well, if you're sure, it's okay…" she extends an arm in greeting, "nice to meet you Kara! Friend of Justice!"

*

That gets a blink of surprise. "Okay, rock shaping. Nice!" Power Girl says, sounding impressed enough. Trying to stare probably gets an eyeful of Kara's chest, given her height. "And thanks." She smiles. "You're new around here, though, right? I hadn't heard of you before a couple weeks ago or so?"

*

"I'm a geokinetic!" Terra brags, placing her arms akimbo on her waist as she strikes a proud pose. "I can do anything!" Yeah, Power Girl's assumption about her age may have been in the proper range. "Yes, I'm kinda new, but I already saved a city in Colombia from an Earthquake, and I helped a nice green lady with a garden thing! I'm good!" She doesn't stare for long, only enough to show she's serious and not to be trifled with. Also, she mostly does catch Power Girl's impressive bust, being a bit short to manage a face to face star down.

*

Power Girl whistles a bit. "Colombia? You must be able to make some serious flight speed on that rock. Are you here from New York City?" She'll give a little tug with a foot to see if the rock is going to let go.

*

"Yes! I'm a hero to all people of Mother Earth, above and below!" Terra asserts proudly, before giggling, "don't be silly, I have other ways to transport too, but yeah I can go pretty fast on my rock!" The rock is actually keeping Power Girl firmly against its surface, so it takes more than a tug to break free, but it's not shackles, so she's free to release herself if she wants to. "Not really, I'm new here! I come from down under!"

*

"Australia? You don't have the accent." She won't break the rock yet, because she's not certain if Terra would empathically feel it or something. She nods downwards, though, and says "Thanks for the demo, you can have it let go now, though."

*

"Oh? I need an accent? Mmmm…where do I get it?" Terra asks, willing to take Australia as a cover, but she'll need the help to make it a good cover! With Power Girl testing the rock holding her feet, Terra makes a gesture, and it fizzles back into the rock, leaving Power Girl free to move. "Of course I can! Like I said, I can do anything!"

*

Power Girl grins a little. "Well, you're not lacking for energy, that's for sure. And that accent? Gold Coast, usually. Where are you staying?"

*

"Then I'll have to visit Gold Coast, I can get it! I bet!" Terra nods affirming herself, before bouncing a bit on her rock, "yeah! I am in top shape! I got all the energy!" She throws a few punches in the air, "take that evil doers! Ha! Ha! Kyah!"

*

Power Girl laughs. "How much caffeine have you had today?" She asks, sounding amused. She'll go back to floating on her own. "Annnd, you didn't answer where you were staying."

*

"Caffeine?" Terra asks inquisitively, not quite admitting to not knowing what it is, but waiting for Power Girl to explain it nevertheless. "Oh, I stay wherever I find a spot, Mother Earth has so much space for us in her generosity!" Terra spreads her arms far and wide as if to help illustrate how vast the Earth is.

*

That gets a frown. "So…you're homeless?" Power Girl asks, confused. "Address? Bedroom? Bed?

*

"Erk…" Terra puts a finger to her lips thoughtfully, "no," she murmurs, though when Power Girl asks for more specific, she continues along that line, "nope. No, none of that…sorry! I'm a work in progress, did I mention that? I'm new in town!"

*

The blonde laughs a little. "Oh-KAY. So, this sounds like it's going to need a little work." She considers. "At least in the short term, you can stay with me?" She offers. "Till we can get you more established?"

*

"What!?" Terra looks stunned at the invitation she's given, "you just met me, and you still offer me a chance to be a guest at your home!?" She looks like she might just tear up, when she suddenly lunges at Power Girl with a tight embrace. "You're such a beautiful person! I appreciate you! And I am ever thankful! You shall have the boon of the Champion! Whenever you need help, just call me and I'll come! I'm Terra, did I mention? Thank you so much! I was never a roommate in my life!"

*

Power Girl blinks in surprise, and somewhat awkwardly returns the hug, trying not to smother Terra. "Well, you can be my roommate now." She smiles. "So, is Terra your real name? Or your superhero name? Or both?"

*

"It's my codename! I am very famous in some places, less so here, for now! But I'll change it with my Power of Awesome!" Terra holds a fist aloft to demonstrate her hero-ness once the embrace is broken, "but if you promise not to tell," she leans closer again and whispers, "my real name is Atlee! Please say it's pretty and not weird?"

*

Power Girl grins. "My name's Kara, I'm the last one to complain about an unusual name. But I think it's just fine." The blonde then adds "Very pretty."

*

"Great! It rhymes! Kara and Terra! Terra and Kara!" Terra announces proudly, before pausing a moment, looking puzzled, and then peering at Power Girl for confirmation, "it does rhyme, does it?" When told her name is pretty, she gives a thumbs up, "alright! I knew it!"

*

"It does indeed rhyme." Though Atlee doesn't. "Come on, I'll show you my place." With that, the Kryptonian turns and soars off, at a slowish speed, so there's no trouble following her.
