Fade In…

Poison Ivy has been traveling a bit of late. She's got a lot on her plate, and that's good, it helps her fight off the onset of winter duldrums. She is trying to keep connected where she can though, which is why she's walking through the last of the fall forested parts of the park. Seeing that everything is okay before they all go dormant for winter. Doesn't hurt to smooth the process along after all.

*

Terra is surfing in the skies atop her rock, that's a neat mean of transportation, isn't it? But up from the air, she can see a lot, and one of the most fascinating things is this sudden growth of green in the middle of New York's concrete jungle! She is instantly drawn, and does a circle over her head, nearly skimming tree tops, "wow! This place is amazing!"

*

Poison Ivy is looking a bit more normal then normal at the moment as well. Fair skin, red hair, mostly normal clothes. Sure she has a 'costume' under it but that's just professional preperation. Ivy is not so lost in her revere to miss someone flying a rock around. At first she's worried about an impact and is already thicking the bark and roots of the treets cloest to Terra's flight path and quick walking that way. Seeing a young girl riding the rock is not what she expected. "Says the person on a rock that ignores gravity."

*

Terra notes the action of Poison Ivy well before she notes Ivy herself, "wow! The trees are responding to my presence? That's new!" But then when Ivy talkes, she stops to hover in the same spot, looking down at Ivy and grinning, "oh it's not ignoring gravity at all, it's just doing what I tell it to do. It's a useful rock!"

*

Poison Ivy looking at the girl and the rock, neither seem familiar to the Gothamite villainess. "Geo-kineses or something else?" Honestly curious as to the girl's abilities. Because moving rock could be very useful to say the least. The trees get a stroke from her hand and Ivy speaks softly to them, "Shhh… it's okay." Clearing her throat, "I take it you are new to the city then?"

*

Terra snaps her gloved fingers and points at Ivy, "you got it! I'm impressed!" It's only as an after thought that she adds, "wait a minute, you made the trees react! You're a botanikinetic? Something like that?" She does nod readily to admit she's new to the city, "if you have power over green, would you like to join me on my quest? I am a Champion of Good! And Justice!"

*

Poison Ivy motions to the rock, "You're controling a rock. I guess you could call it a few other terms but I went with what was the most common. I'm a scientist." Ivy was planning on playing off the tree reactions, and then Terra mentions the Green. "I…. waht did you just say? Who… are you?"

*

"Me? I'm Terra! Who are you?" Terra asks, just barely holding back from introducing herself as the Champion of Strata. She is getting better at overcoming her instincts sometime! Taking the rock all the way down to ground level, she hops off of it, before making some gestures and working it into a bench, which she proceeds to sit down upon, "so I'm here to look after the sweet mother, and teach the humans to stop hurting her. They don't understand what they're doing, and I want to teach them, so they'll be better, and then sweet mother will be better, meaning an altogether better and happier, Earth! Genius, right?"

*

Poison Ivy watches with great interest as the rock is reshaped and made to look like a bench. It makes her smile to see how Terra acts and exudes her young energy. "Sweet mother? You mean the earth or is this a goddess of some sort?" She will move sit on the bench as well, assuming there is room. "You can call me Pamela or Pam for now. And you are definitely not from a big city, that much I can tell."

*

"Mother Earth, of course, she looks after us all like children, does she not?" Terra seems confused that Ivy would have reason to think it would be any other she was referring to, albeit she should be impressed, because if she tried with people less Ivy-like, they may not quite get that. The bench is indeed made large enough to support two people, Terra being welcoming as she is made sure of it. "Pamela? Do you prefer Pam? It's cute and short!" Terra looks like she's about to open her mouth, ready to defend Strata's reputation as a tremendous city, but then she recalls again she is not supposed to let people find out about Strata, and so she just nods, "not from here anyway…"

*

Poison Ivy comments, "If you knew where I was from, you would understand why I asked to be sure about who you meant Terra. There are many crazy people out there, and it is good to be careful." Smiling she can't help but quip, "No Pam is fine. I prefer short nick names." Like.. Ivy. "And where you are from they know about the Green? Very few do, especially not everyday humans. Not that I'm guessing that is you," tapping the rock to show what she means. "How do plan to carry out your task of 'help teach the people about Mother?'"

*

"Where are you from?" Terra asks what comes naturally after such a prompt. "We're all about sweet mother and all of her children, the flora, the fauna, and we want to stop all the disgusting pollution and crimes against the Earth that people around here do. We need to educate them, and help them be better!" Terra laughs as Poison Ivy immediately discards the chance she might be an everyday human. "I already told you, I'm a Champion of Good!" Terra points at her head and her heart, as she most optimistically states, "I will fix everything I can, and then tell them why it's wrong, and they'll get better at it! They don't hurt the sweet mother because they are evil, they do it because they are stupid, right?"

*

Poison Ivy points at the ground, "Poetically, I'm from her. Geographically? I would have to say Gotham, which I would guess you haven't been to yet." Ivy sort of pitties and lieks this girl at the same moment. "Some are just stupid, not that I think that is an excuse. The information is out there and many know they are doing wrong. It is just easier to not care." She points out across the park where a guy finishes eatting some fast food chain grease burger and just drops the wrapper to the ground. "That's against the law here, but rarely is it enforced. And then there are those that actively hurt the planet on purpose for profit."

*

Seems like Poison Ivy stumbled into something that makes Terra open up a bit as she exclaims excitedly, "you're from Down Under as well? Wow! How come you didn't know who I was? I'm famous all over! Even the Tekolloids respect me!" She does shakes her head when asked if she was in Gotham, "not yet! But I'll go everywhere I need to be!" Then Ivy points Terra's attention to a man littering, and it's like showing red to a bull. "One moment," Terra informs to Ivy, and as she gets up, the ground seems to shift, carrying her like a wave and placing it right infront of the man, "excuse me! You can't do that! It's disrespectful!" She admonishes the older looking man, pointing sharply at the wrapper he just discarded on the ground, "you should pick it up and put it in the trash. Show respect to Mother Earth as she allows you to live your days happily."

*

Poison Ivy frowns, "Tekolloids? I don't know what you are talking about." Willing to at least let Terra know that, but she has something to research now. She watches the girl earth wave to the litterbug and wonders if that effects stuff under the ground. Standing up sh walks behind the purple eyed terror to hear her chastize the man. Unsurprizingly the guy just laughs and waves the kid off, "Whatever kid. They got people that clean up the park." Ivy looks at the man and is tempted to have a tree skewer him but instead waits and watches. "You'll get that a lot sadly."

*

"Are you sure you're from down under?" Terra asks, as those are a bothersome species of intraterratrials that like to make it hard on their neighbors, as Champion of Strata she had to deal with him quite a few times.

But facing the littering man, Terra is shocked to find him not only utterly disrespectful of her, no doubt unaware she's the Champion, but also showing zero intent to pick up after himself. "There are no people to clean up here, there is you, and you just desecrated her!" Terra accuses, pointing directly at the man while her violet eyes have a bit of an intense glow to them. Could it be a literal glow? Maybe? Then Ivy shares that it's a reaction she can expect quite often, so Terra frowns. "Not. Good. Enough. Mister." As he walks, a hand lifts from the ground to grab at his legs and trip him, before disappearing back into the ground. If Ivy pays attention, she may notice Terra doing the gestures herself, with the Earth simply following along her instruction. "Hey, is it fun when the Earth disrespects you right back?" Terra asks the man, "you can still apologize to her and throw that thing in the trash."

*

Poison Ivy can't help but laugh and watch this. It's…. what she does all the time. Yet they lock HER up. She's curious to see if Terra will go far enough to teach this man a lesson. Of course they are getting noticed and a crazy chick with powers is great incentive to put something away in a trash can. Then run the hell out of there as fast as possible. Ivy leans on a tree as she asks, "So do you think he'll ever do that again, or that others will here of this 'great tale' and learn from it?"

*

Not knowing much about this world, Terra hasn't an inkling that the man likely took her for a powered crazy teen who could potentially kill him, before having a change of heart and hurriedly throwing the wrapper in the trash, before leaving VERY fast. But Terra is quite pleased with the result, shouting after the fleeting man, "thank you for being nice to Mother Earth! She appreciates that!" She then slowly turns to face Ivy, a big grin on her lips, "see? I taught him! He got better now." She shrugs, "there was nothing great here…it was just an education. When I fought the Gorgozor, now that was epic!"

*

Poison Ivy asks, "What or who is the Gorgozor? Or is that some strange word you use for bulldozer? Because I've fought a few of those before, and logging machines as well." Ivy nods to the ground, "So you control the earth. Do you know there are tunnesl under this city and pipes? Just what rock did you crawl out of? Don't get me wrong, Terra, I like you a lot." Least as a potential person to use. "but it's clear you are from somewhere different then most people. Gotham would have you crying, or leveling the city in anger." Fifty fifty odds on which.

*

"He's a…erm…monster," Terra decides to keep it simple, "a very big monster, but I beat him, so he's no more. Told you I'm a Champion of Good!" Terra looks a bit offended at the question, "I'm not stupid, I can feel…I know what's there…like the speedy crawlers in the tunnels carrying people? I know." Yes, Ivy was right, she's definitely not from around. "But like I said, I'm the Champion, so I won't cry or destroy this Gotham. I will prevail! I always do! For justice! For the Mother!" She then looks at Ivy again, "I think you can really help, and I can help you too, we can the Mother happy."

*

Poison Ivy motions for Terra to come closer to her. "Those are called a subway here, and the things carrying people are 'trains.' IF you want people to listen to you, you need to learn their words, but not their ways." Ivy touches the tree and would make it bloom but that would not be fair to it, "I do help. I do what I can, as much as I can. Though they don't like some of what I do. See I've kiled a few 'Gorgozors' in my time. But they hid behind laws and tricks, so I get blamed and called evil. Tell me… is it evil to stop a man from destorying hundred of acres of rainforest in a week? Or is it the bigger crime to let him keep doing that?"

*

"I meant to say Subway!" Terra apparently is quick to pick up information, well, once it's offered on a silver platter, and apparently not beyond suggesting she wasn't wrong even after being absolutely wrong, then again, as the man she was chiding noticed, she does seem on the young side. "So the subway trains carry people underground." She opens her eyes wide when Ivy admits to killing Gorgozors, "wow! You're stronger than you look!" Terra exclaims, "then you should definitely help me on my mission!" Terra squints at the question she's asked, "is this a trick…?" She asks, "because it seems really easy to me. You stop him and teach him why, so he won't do it again!"

*

"Stop him yes, but teach him? Why not make an example of him. Show him our mother has teeth and can protect herself? Besides some men don't care about anything save themselves. If they hurt the planet? So what, they'll be dead before the consequences come around," Ivy trying to show Terra how some people think. Mind you Ivy may not be unbiased in this. "I had to stop great amounts of oil, mother's blood if you will, from pouring into the oceans and killing near immeasurable life." Exageration maybe but just a bit. Offhandedly she thinks, "You may like Aquaman."

*

Terra looks a bit jarred by the proposition, "why? Because I'm the Champion. I would be no different from a Gorgozor if I were to just kill him. If I kill him, he will never learn better…also think of the Mother, she gives life, who am I to take what she gives?" Terra is a bit confused, she had Poison Ivy pegged for a perfect teammate, someone who could join forces with her, but that idea was a bit much for her. "I never met Aquaman, but if he helps keep the ocean clean of oil, I will help him!"

*

Poison Ivy had hoped for a more like minded responce. She strokes that tree, "do you ever consider what life is like for most plants. How much a struggle it is for every day's light? To get the roots down to where they need to be and what the means to the other plants if you survive?" She walks back to Terra's bench to sit, "Aquaman is the king of the people who live on the ocean's floor."

*

Terra follows after Ivy, frowning at the way she phrases her words, "you think I don't? I feel it all," Terra remarks, crossing her arms, and Ivy sits back on the bench, she motions her fingers and makes some arm rests.

*

Poison Ivy frowns at the question and tries to reach through the green, to see if she can somehow tell if Terra is touching it too. "Can you? Feel the green I mean?" Her voice softer at what it mean to find someone else what isnt' a male and or a murderous jerk that can touch what she touches.

*

While there's no counter pull from Terra, she looks at Ivy intently and nods in the positive, "I can. What are you trying to tell me?"

*

Ivy seems surprised and asks, "I… need to think. And I'm telling you to be careful. Don't make mistakes and don't trust people too easily." She looks at the trees and then back at the girl. "Also I'd stay out of Gotham, it'll chew you up and break you. Stick to New York and Metro for big cities."

*

"A Champion fears nothing…I will go where I am called," Terra insists, before motioning for Ivy to get up, "if you don't mind…I need my rock back." Should Ivy comply, Terra will reshape the bench into the very same rock, before hopping on it and taking to the air again, "nice to meet you, Pam!"

*

Poison Ivy does stand and says, "I am working in Gotham, if you feel a call…. use the green and let me know first." WIth that Ivy lets Terra go. Odd girl and definitely someone to remember. "Farewell."
