Dimensional Weirdness

November 02, 2017:

Kara Zor-El finally arrives to Earth after being sent to protect her baby cousin, Kal-El, decades ago. She is discovered by the Blue Marvel, a Green Lantern and later joined by Power Girl. She discovered a new term: dimensional weirdness. She's not sure what's more alarming or confusing at this point, but she does know that nothing went according to plan.

Fade In…

Like some kind of asteroid from space, the aforementioned UFO from the news report is heading with increasing speed towards the Earth. Fire surrounding the object as it breaks through the atmosphere, but luckily it appears the vessel isn't about to cause too much damage, largely headed on a crash course with an open area prepared for construction to the side of I-95.

*

Streaking through the sky at a blinding speed is the Blue Marvel. Dressed head to toe in his old uniform a blistering breakneck pace as he leaves a wake of cracking sonic boom far behind him. The air whisks past his graying hair as eyes lock on the careening asteroid, he might not legally be able to interfere but damned if he's not going to step in anyway after the recent weeks.

His dark blue jacket billows in the wind caught up in the sheer force of it as he careens through the sky hands outstretched ahead of himself like a cowcatcher on a train, breaking through the strong winds of concrete ahead of him. "Just like old times…" He speaks to himself gaining a wistful grin of remembrance of times far long gone behind him. "Stop the meteorite save the city, try not to get locked up in some penitentiary the dark side of Antarctica."

*

Hal Jordan as Green Lantern had just been working with Wonder Woman, Aesh and Superman in the clean up of the earlier attack in New York. A drone equipped with ridiculous weapon technology attacked Diana. Is this connected?
Exhaling the Lantern ascends in to the air, still unable to remove from uniform as he clocks the fall out with his Power Ring. At least he is not too far away in terms of super flight and nor is the blue streak. "Him again? Kidding me… "

*

With Blue Marvel using antimatter energy, he's able to gradually slow down what now is quite obviously a small spacecraft, which will do great to reduce the potential damage on impact as it nearly hits the ground, Blue Marvel able to ensure the crash will not happen on the highway, and the radius won't damage anything substantial. Should nothing else happen, there will be a loud booming sound of impact, with a bit of a crater left where the spacecraft impacts the ground. A lot of steam is released, following by the cockpit slowly opening. Inside is a somewhat ridiculously idealized young woman, that is if you align with the general blonde hair, blue eyes, and perfectly sculpted figure for what you consider ideal form. Either way, she could likely be a model, though being in a spaceship she's obviously not one. Anyone who have seen Superman, would instantaneously recognize her outfit, as it's derivative of his costume, the only change being a skirt and exposed legs. For the time being she seems to be in stasis, but is clearly breathing.

*

Several rotations of the Watchtower, several long hours soaking up the Solar rays of Earth's sun until the wounds inflicted by a Red Lantern (all in the name of 'point-proven') are mended and Starfire is up and moving, staring not only through the window, but at her reflection.

Alerts go off and snap Star from her silent reverie, the near 'Asteroids' Atari game alignment drawing her focus now, pupiless emerald gaze narrowing. "….Ah for ….X'Hal…" Now now! No human vulgarities! Right??

"Breach in atmosphere!" Coordinates un-akin to Lntern 'sectorship' given, but none the less fed into JLA comm systems. "On my way."

Starfire, Koriand'r, Tamaranean who now claims Earth as Home steps into the air-locks and with deep inhale…

Welcomes the vaccuum that directs her!

*

"Alright, down you get." Marvel comments as the blue energy from his hands proves enough to slow the descent and save the highway. "You… blond..super… woman…" He blinks a few times looking inside of the cockpit a long pause taken for him as he floats back from the space-ship of sorts.

Adam looks a bit confused as he floats back hovering above the ground with one hand on his chin and the other at his side as he thinks about this for a long moment. "Well I'll be." All his manages to say as he slowly floats down to the ground touching down with relative ease as he examines the pods alien design philosophy. "At least it's not cosmonaut." He murmurs under his breath with a sigh of relief that this wasn't some cold war leftover, though it still could be the likelihood of it being the case was much more slim now.

*

The Green Lantern isn't quite there in time to assist in the set down of the starship. Getting closer as well through the pod from he can understand Blue Marvel's expression at the sight of the blonde inside. His own surprise in there as well.
"Blue Marvel, what… did you just find?" Hal asks curiously. It is unlikely Koriand'r is too far off from them. The Green Lantern's flight letting up so he can land and walk closer to the vessel and its contents.

*

Kara just starts to flutter her eyes open, she's been asleep for a LOOOONG time. Thankful all systems in the Kryptonian vessel were in order, keeping her alive and in stasis for the duration of her extremely prolonged journey. "M-m-my!" She exclaims as the blurred image before her starts to focus, and she finds a black man looking down at her. "I've made it!" She exclaims, clearly, she's on an alien planet. "A planet of black people!" Kara is quite taken with this very alien look that Adam has, at least to her, she's never seen any black person before. Wincing a bit, she releases the safety harness from around her seat, and stretches her arms, just to get the blood flowing. She's a bit weary about trying to get up on her feet too fast. Her head is still a bit fuzzy, as she's trying to reorient herself.

*

"Well it's a funny story" Blue Marvel begins to speak before hey she's waking up. He looks back towards the pod expectantly for a moment before she speaks up and causes the well tanned superhero to just drop his mouth open for a moment blinking. A single hand goes up to his brow as he clicks his tongue once.

"Welcome to Earth" He adds after a long moments silence, holding his arms out to either side as he looks back to the Green Lantern with the look. A look that says a lot more then words can, a weary look of having heard this kind of joke a thousand times before in his life.

*

Starfire is a streak akin to a falling comet after the 'pod-sace' bearing Kara, and when Blue makes the capture and Kara emerges…

Her birth-words… Make Kori hover back and shifty eyes between Blue and Hal, and despite arms crossing over herself… She is still very… orange in her genetic tawny hue. "Not just…. No he is sun-exposed and.." Kori's deep plum lips part, a finger lifted as if she would teach lessons in color and hue with a backdrop of a dry erase board!

But no….

"The southern Continent…"

NO!

"He's not black, and I am not orange… Sooo ugly…" Final words whispered and then Hal…

"He's peach like…!" No let's not tell-all about what she read in Revolution(ary) Texts.

"Welcome!"

*

"Uhm, this is the weirdest invasion I've ever seen." Hal remarks before hearing Kara,"Whoah! You can't say that, I mean, right? She can't say that, right?" He looks to Blue Marvel. "Starfire! So glad you're here."
Hal Jordan seeing Blue Marvel carry on like a champ adds his own, "Yes, welcome to Earth. You made it?" So many questions from the League member right now but he is just taking this all in. Walking over to Kara's pod he circles it, trying to look preoccupied there as the other two speak to the newcommer. Maybe this will start making some sense once shes more awake.

*

Kara blinks in surprise when she sees Kory arriving on scene, flying on her own no less! "Impressive! You've got flying people!" Kara's mouth falls agape as she stares at Starfire, stunned by her feat of flight. But then comes the explanation, and Starfire is orange, and Hal Jordan enters her line of sight as well. "A planet of many colored people!" She corrects herself, now that she sees better, as well as gets an impromptu lecture from Starfire.

She starts to slowly force herself out of the cockpit of her spacecraft, stumbling and reaching to hold on to Blue Marvel for support. "Sorry!" She calls at him, and tries to slowly let go, adjusting her balance. "Gravity is different here," she notes something that might not be obvious to all, before turning to look at Starfire and waving at her, "thank you! That is very nice of you to say," and then adjusts her head towards Hal, "what is it I cannot say? Because, if I said it already, I'm pretty sure I can!" She corrects Hal, just in case he wasn't clear of her developed ability to speak. She was fed all sorts of education by the ship's computer during her flight, which is how she can speak English, rather than babble in Kryptonian and leaving most everyone confused.

"Yes, I've made it! This is planet Earth, isn't it?" Kara asks Hal with urgency in her question.

*

"Colored, that's a term I haven't heard in a long time." Marvel offers with a bit of a chuckle. "I've heard much worse lantern." In answer to Hal's comment with a calm expression on his face as he floats a few feat off of the ground himself.

*

"Shes got me there." Hal admits. She did say it when he said she couldn't. "Right, yeah, many colors, many people, many races. Aliens… " The Green Lanterns ring lights up and he aims it at the pod, a scan runs over it. "I knew this looked familiar. It's Kryptonian."
Blue Marvel gets a nod, he doesn't doubt that. Not if the man is as old as Doctor Strange says he is.
"Yeah, you're on Earth. How… are you… are you from Krypton?" If so they need to get Superman out here ASAP.

*

"Is it a rare term?" Kara asks Blue Marvel as it seems the term she used was not in everyday use, maybe the English she learned wasn't good enough. When Hal mentions her vessal is Kryptonian, Kara turns to look at him and nods with a jovial smile on her lips, "yes! Kryptonian! You know of Krypton?" She is rather excited by the prospect. "I am…and I am…" she ponders how to state it, before eventually going an altogether new route and asking, "did you see another vessal like my own arrive here recently? Someone is in desparate need of my help!"

*

"Yes" Comes the quick and poignant response. Blue Marvel cracks his neck out floating a little bit above the ground trying to think of how best to explain it, but really that one remark should about cover it for the alien. "Even got a few robots running around" Adam adds calmly as he looks back towards Hal, unsure of what he's gotten himself into by slowing that falling ship.

*

"I don't know Krypton but I have heard of it and know… an expert on the subject. I will take you to meet him later but… " Hal frowns and looks over at Starfire then Blue Marvel, "You're not in any condition to help anyone. Not yet. You let us worry about that and give us a way to find them.
"I and Starfire are part of the Justice League, its what we do and Blue Marvel, well, hes an old school hero. We are probably the best people to have found you all things considering." Speaking of, the government's DEO units or possibly SHIELD will be enroute soon. He likely doesn't have to voice that to Marvel or Kori.

"We should probably get you somewhere less public until you get your bearings, while we do that you can tell us about this person that needs help. Sound good? We will even bring your ship with us."

*

"You can fly too!" Kara rather rudely points at Blue Marvel, only just now realizing it's not only Starfire who can fly. An alien world indeed! Not having an inkling of DEO or SHIELD, Kara naturally is not at all feeling any concern. "Look," she tries to explain to Hal, "this is my cousin we're talking about, he should have arrived her on a spacecraft like my own very recently! He needs my help, he's just a baby, he can't manage on his own! I have to find him…promise you'll help me find him?" She asks, having already gotten an impression the people who found her are good people, and clearly, they have some kind of unreasonable powers!

The offer to take her and her ship somewhere safe, does jarr Kara back to reality, this is an alien planet. It's probably a good idea, "yes! Yes and yes, thank you please!"

*

"Don't worry, we'll find your cousin if he's here." Blue Marvel assures taking on a fatherly tone as he lifts the shuttle up with one hand. "We won't let anything happen to him." The effort to lift the shuttle is minimal for a man of his strength even as his attention falters slightly at the glance around for signs of the usual suspects for any sort of alien contact.

A blue energy surrounds his hand now held high above his head. "Do you have any idea where he might have landed?" Spoken with a good deal of concern as he takes one final glance for SHIELD. "Earth is a big planet so we've got a lot of ground to cover."

*

"Yeah, we promise. Scout's honor." Hal assures Kara, "What he said, we'll have to canvas the whole planet at this rate."

The Lantern is already tapping a message on his communicator to the rest of the League letting them know a possible Kryptonian has just landed on Earth and is seeking another one. All anyone really knows is there is only Superman. If there is more? That could prove to be very confusing. - Little does Hal know shes actually talking about Kal-El. For now though… befuddled and confused it is!

"Hey Blue, we can bring that to Ferris Airfields. I know one of the hangars that is empty and no one uses it. If we move this in the dark its unlikely we'll draw much attention to it. At least for a short time."
Hal smiles at Kara and like the other two ascends in to the air, floating with a green aura around him, "You don't fly do you? A lift required?" He offers a hand.

*

"Great Rao!" Kara exclaims when she witnesses the ease with which Blue Marvel lifts her spacecraft, that thing is heavy! She nods when Hal reassures her, she's already got the impression that these individuals are supremely powered.

Asked if she has a clue where her cousin's vessel may have landed, she points out, "it should be somewhere in the vicinity, my ship was programmed to lock on his transponder," she states as if that much should be obvious.

Asked if she flies, Kara bursts in laughter, "I said I was from Krypton, I didn't say I was a god!" She is highly amused the question is even ased in the first place, as she nods at Hal, "I would appreciate a lift very much! Thank you!"

*

Adding a second hand onto the vessel Blue begins to fly higher up into the air. "I've been there a few times, I should be able to take it no problem." A quick nod of confidence given towards Hal. "We'll get this to a safe place first, and then once we're secure we'll look for your cousin." Before he starts flying off at only supersonic speeds in the direction of Ferris Airfields.

*

Power Girl received the message to the League about a Kryptonian, which unsurprisingly has her interest peaked. She's flying in on the direction of the signal, and will tap her earbud comm. Power Girl. We have a Kryptonian?

*

Hal assists Kara up and soon she is aloft with Starfire, Blue Marvel and Starfire. The ship carried by the powerful vet and Kara held with the Lantern they make their way towards Ferris Airfield. Power Girl will have received the message that Hal has added, -A lone Kryptonian woman or what appears to be one is seeking lost cousin. That may also be a Kryptonian or not. She is in transit and they're looking for Superman or anyone who can assist in the situation.

"A god? But… soo many questions. Hang in there and we'll get to those. Lets deal with your ship first." A thing at a time.

It won't be hard for Karen to find them. Not with the lightshow the trio put on.

*

Kara holds on to dear life, even though Hal is carrying her, as they make their way to what she overheard is dubbed Ferris Airfield. At least it sounds like it might be a good place to hide her vessal, she will need access to it after all. There's so much she'll have to teach her cousin, and the computer would be of great assistance. "Don't worry, I won't bother you with questions, I appreciate your help. Just help me find my cousin!"

*

Power Girl pours on the speed, and will angle to join them at Ferris Air. The blonde in the white bodysuit drops to subsonic once she gets close, telescopic vision and super-hearing checking for the others' location to join them.

*

Kara is set down outside the large hangar that her ship is being stowed in by Blue Marvel. The man's duty done with them for now it's nice to see he entrusted the fresh alien on Hal. Starfire gone as well the tall Green Lantern rubs the back of his neck, "Questions are fine and I promised you I would help you find your cousin you said? Yeah cousin. We just uh, need to hold up a tick." Hopefully some help arrives. At least right now they're under the cover of darkness and the security is far to the other side of the airstrip. No one but possibly a janitor will bother them out here.
Power Girl will see them. It will be a first time for Jordan seeing her since hes been Earthside.

*

Kara is quite pleased to see her vessal safely stored, but when Hal mentions holding up a tick, she whirls to glare at him, pressing her hands against his chest, "hold on? Don't you understand a helpless baby is in trouble? He needs me! That's the only thing I worry about right now!" When Power Girl zooms in like a streak in the sky, Kara points up at Hal, "is that a friend of yours?"

*

Power Girl slows to a glide, then drops down to touch blue boots to ground. "GL." She offers to Hal, keeping things professional since she has no idea who's around. The look at Kara, on the other hand, will get a doubletake, because she knows that face. That's her face, as of a few years ago.

*

Green Lantern cants his head up to see the incoming woman, a hesitant chuckle escapes him. "You could say that." It's a half smile that appears on Jordan's face below the domino mask, "Power Girl." The pressing of hands to his chest actually has him teetering back on his heels. "I know, I know, we're working on it." As if he is trying to calm her.
"This is probably a lot easier for you to deal with and maybe explain since I cannot get Superman on the line."

*

"She is saying there might be another of yo- er Kryptonians here too. A child." Hal doesn't know that child was/is Clark. "So speed is important."

*

Kara wants to stress how important her mission is to Hal, but lucky for him, the arrival of Power Girl distracts her all the same, as something about her is eeriely familiar. "Err…yes," she reiterates what Hal just said, "I was sent here to look after my cousin, he's just a baby, please, you have to help me find him! He could be in danger!"

*

Cousin, sent here. Yeah. She knows this story. How it's playing out all over again, that part is harder to deal with. But multiple dimensions. "It's all right, Kara." Power Girl offers. "Kal's just fine. Relax. Everything is going to be all right."

*

Hal steps back to the side, away from the younger Kara to just near Power Girls shoulder. His arms both fold over his chest as he tips his chin up and takes the quiet role, observe and be here for support but really, this is within Karen's dominion. She might even be a better option for adjustment than Kal himself. It is nice to have family.

*

Kara's eyes open wide as Power Girl actually speaks her cousin's name, and instinctively, she shifts to Kryptonian, «you know Kal-El!?» She can't help herself it's the excitement and alarm, «let's go get him! I missed him so much! He needs me!»

*

Power Girl responds easily in the same language. «I know him. And he's just fine. There was…an accident, with your ship.» Or at least she's guessing, based on her own experiences, and Kara's reactions. «It got delayed. Kal's ship got here…many years ago.»

*

«Huh…?» While it's plausible, Kara is a bit astounded that Power Girl would even know to guess as much. She didn't even tell her the whole story she told Hal earlier on. «How would you even know that? Did you see his ship? Did you find him? Did you look after him? Because if you did, I owe you! Like…seriously owe you!» She's so excited she's shuddering, her heart beats only starting to cool a bit as Power Girl calms her immediate concerns. «You know he's alive, you saw him, right? He's safe? Can I go see him now? Where is he?»

*

«No, he was found by some Earth people. Really good people.» Power Girl runs a hand through her shorter blonde hair, and takes a momentary deep breath. «And I know, because I'm Kara Zor-L.» There's not going to be any way to handle that. Might as well knock it out.

*

Hal turns away from the two that are speaking Kryptonian. Privacy sake. If he required the ring might be able to translate it's got a hell of a storage of known languages from thousands of galaxies after all but he's going for polite walking a small distance away to kick a stray stone. Arms still folded across his green and black uniformed chest.

*

«Good!? They looked after him well!?» Kara insists, unaware she started doing teeny tiny bounces of excitation while listening to Power Girl. But then she introduces herself, and the 'El' to 'L' distinction is lost, as Kara stumbles backwards and winds up falling most ungracefully right on her bottom, staring upwards at Power Girl in shock, «y-y-y-you're what!? I'm Kara Zor-El! You're not me! I'm me! How can you be me?»

*

Power Girl takes a step forward, switching back to English, as she offers a hand down to her younger counterpart. "Dimensional weirdness." Is about the only offer she can give, looking extraordinarily sympathetic. "I know it's hard to take in. Believe me, it's as weird from my side." But at least she's not dealing with just-arriving on Earth. That was years ago for her.

*

"Dimensional weirdness? Huh?" Kara isn't quite set on what that means, but there's no doubt something very eerie is at play. "I want to see him," she reiterates, the one thing that grounds Kara from freaking out. Kal-El needs her, and she will do her best to look after him.
