Fade In…

It's a normal day in New York. For once. Mid afternoon traffic is doing its usual job of turning the city into a map of gridlock, to the usual chorus of honking horns and 'Hey I'm drivin' here!". There's nothing at all horribly wrong. Which is, of course, itself, horribly wrong and so must be corrected.

A signal breaks in on every radio frequency, every television frequency, audio only. A low, very, very disturbing laugh goes out over the airwaves.

"Hellooooooooooooooooooooo New York. It's meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Your friendly neighborhood Joker. Now I'm very, very disappointed in the police and especially my dear friend the Batman. No one seems to have properly appreciated my little preview to the grand show I'm going to put on. So here's what I'm going to do. I've offered a busload of school children and teachers front row seats to an… explosive new sneak peek at the old Castle Robotics warehouse. Anyone do-gooders who want to join them should feel free. I'm sure that this whole thing is about to - hehehehehehe - catch fire."

Nelson and Murdock, Attorneys at Law

"Hey Matt, you get a look at this?" Foggy Nelson interrupts Murdock's concentration for the fourth time in the hour. Clearly, he's looking to milk out the clock the last few hours here, but Matt /had/ been in deep studying about US law involving mining operations.

Murdock doesn't speak, but his eyebrow goes up as he hears a familiar voice. "Odd, I didn't think the Joker frequented this city."

"That's what I said," Nelson responds as he turns up the volume.

*

It doesn't matter what day of the week it is. SHIELD is a 24-7-365 kind of operation. And because of that, one of the smaller Quinjets on its way to the Triskelion from some off-site meeting or other gets the call about the transmission and it's piped into the aerial vehicle's comm system.

Piloting the Quinjet, May simply lets out a slow and annoyed sigh, glancing at Maria seated in the copilot's seat. "Please tell me we're getting permission to go kick this jerk into next week."

*

The last time something like this it was while stuck in traffic down below. This time it isn't a peculiar figure or two standing around on a sidewalk playing with forces of nature, it's something disturbing coming across the airwaves. Something that the Deputy Director of SHIELD didn't expect to be happening. At least she doesn't have to ruin another SUV when doing her job.

"Alright, what the -Hell- is that freak doing in New York and why the -Hell- isn't mister 'I am the Night' doing his bloody job?" she snaps out while reflexively reaching forward in her seat for the comms. "Hill here, someone get me the source of that transmission -now.-"

A hardened glance is then turned to May. "Hope you've got tall boots on today, it's gonna get thick." Hell yes they're going to respond, it's the -Joker- and his usual parole officer's nowhere in sight.

*

All units in near Hell's Kitchen, respond code three to 27315 West 51st Street and set up a cordon. Reports of 41 hostages, school children and teachers. SWAT and HRT being mobilized. Proceed with extreme caution.

The Castle Robotics corporation went belly up in '02 and since then their warehouse, which happens to be attached to their production lines, have just sat there more or less abandoned while their various creditors have haggled out the details. Sure enough, soon as anyone can get eyes on the building there are, sure enough not one but two school buses parked out in front of it, empty.

"Now as everyone knows, if you're going to see a production you have to stand in line." The Joker continues.

"Working on it, Ma'am." A SHIELD tech answers Hill. "Got it. The signal is coming from… the ABC Broadcasting studio in Manhattan. Man someone really amped up the power on that tower."

"If anyone cuts in line, espeeeecially the police, well let's just say that we'd be finishing with a bang."

*

Daredevil prowls above the scene from the roof as he listens down below with his billy club in his right hand. Teeth grinding on each other in frustration, he focuses on his senses to try and figure out the specifics of Joker's plan. The smells in the air, the sounds on their waves; anything to give him more information as to what this madman is planning.

*

Melinda May banks the quinjet around at an angle that would likely give any 'average' passenger reason to reach for a sick bag, reaching for various switches and toggles on the vehicle's control panels. "Forget the source of the broadcast, give me the address for Castle Robotics. And get me air clearance all the way there. Now." Yeah, she uses the Wednesday Addams book of etiquette. At Hill's comment about tall boots, she merely asides, "Always. And, I don't care why he's here. He does NOT get to turn this town into his playpen like he's done to Gotham."

*

Hearing the news causes Hill to frown further, the signal doesn't lead directly back to the warehouse he's holed up in. Hearing that May attempts to override her order in her next breath doesn't help. "-No,- check with building security at the studio and make sure they haven't been caught up in this. Knowing his game we'll all be chasing a distraction while he makes his move. I want extra agents nearby to tighten up their perimeter but until we find a secondary play our main focus is the warehouse."

She tries to do her homework when it comes to major threats within the Tri-City area. The Joker definitely counts as a major threat.

"And -while- you're doing that, give us those goddamn coordinates. We're burning time and fuel up here, people." Then to May, she adds "We can't risk taking any chances with this psychotic idiot. Don't rely on your training alone, this guy doesn't follow any of the books."

*

All units near the 33rd Precinct, we have a hostage situation at the ABC Broadcasting Studio. Respond Code 3. Already the first NYPD units are on scene, their sirens and the general hubbub as the perimeter is set up easily 'illuminating' the area for the Man With No Fear. Dispatch be advised, we need an EOD team out here. All entrances but one have been barricaded with explosives. Roger that Unit One Five, keep your distance and do not attempt to engage. Bomb Team is being mobilized.

Daredevil can easily smell the fertilizer from where he is. It stinks to high heaven. All entrances but one have barrels of the stuff piled against it. The south entrance, which is to say the main one, is the only one currently open.

"Air traffic control has cleared you to the warehouse." the SHIELD tech reports. "Coordinates of the broadcasting center coming through now." And there they are on the display. "Want us to get a response team up there, Ma'am?"

"Ah the police. We here at Joker Entertainment salute our boys in blue. No tights with you today? Pity. The kiddies did so want to see them."

*

Matt hasn't had the chance to research the Joker as much as others. Is he the type of psychopath who always gives the option of a loss, or is he the type to have layers upon layers to their terror plans. Either way, he's not ready to make his move.

When Joker mentions the men in tights, he considers one option of showing himself. There's a second option where he can attempt to take out the Joker before he can blow the building up. The final option, the one he chooses, is to continue to observe in hopes of getting more information.

*

Melinda May goes as fast as allowed directly over the buildings of Manhattan to get to the warehouse, though she slows the jet to a hover a few blocks out — hopefully far enough away that the general wash of noise covers the jet's engine sounds. "How far up this guy's nose you want the Quinjet?" she asks of Hill. If the Deputy Director wants to be bossy, fine. She can do ALL the thinking.

*

There it is. Hostage situation at the studio. "Of course," Hill mutters under her breath. There's two targets and only the two of them in one jet. Thing is, the Joker's not a metahuman. He's just a regular old deranged person. Between May and Hill they should be able to take him, once they've pulled him outside of his excuse of a safety net.

Of course, between May and Hill they also have a few issues regarding SHIELD authority.

The safety of the people come first. It's one of the rules she really can't stand but it's part of the job description.

Comms first, "Response team to the studio." May second, "Not until we have a proper layout of the place. If I thought we'd have a chance in Hell of dropping him with a surgical strike at a distance without killing all of the hostages, I would have hit the damn button, myself." The jet..may be a problem. "Find somewhere quiet to set us down, I think we need to teach this guy a few lessons in subtlety."

*

There's a very large crowd of police now ringing the block around the warehouse/factory, but none of them are moving in yet. They're waiting for the Hostage Rescue Team… and the bomb squad… and SWAT… and if the Batman would show up now that'd be great but that doesn't seem to be happening. Maybe Joker got bored in Gotham?

Rather abruptly a video signal begins to accompany the audio blanketing the airwaves. Two camera angles, one of a bunch of high school kids some place surrounded mirrors. The second of a handful of teachers with a in a similar location.

"Say hello to our special guests. They're all very excited to be here." They're all clearly terrified. "Now one of these lucky groups of people will be invited for an… extended stay. That'll be the ones our boys in blue, and any tights if they bother to show up, find first. They're… somewhere in the Labyrinth."

The shot changes to the interior of the warehouse/factory… it's been turned into a maze, with mirrors used as partitions. Mirrors ground to, apparently, give a funhouse like effect, distorting the images reflected.

"The original Labyrinth had a Minotaur. Sadly, Gotham was out of stock so I had to… improvise. Have fun! Oh, and the clocks ticking. Fifteen minutes. And if you cheat, we'll have a barbecue."

*

Before the Joker is even finished, the Daredevil launches himself in a slow twirling swan dive off the top of the roof. At the last possible moment he releases a clip on his billy club and takes a sharp turn back in towards the building's doorway. He kicks down the entrance door and races in, hoping to find these people as quick as possible.

The great part about a hall of mirrors is that they don't really bother Daredevil at all. Instead, he bangs his stick down on the flooring, sending echoes that help him to map out the area in question.

*

Melinda May sends the Quinjet sideways to land almost primly on the roof of a neighboring warehouse's helipad, then hits the switches to turn main control over to Hill practically without looking at them. Unbuckling herself from her seat she moves to stand, then takes off her aviator glasses and offers them to Hill.

"I had better get those back." They ARE her personal set, after all. Swapping out the big headset for an earwig and setting it to the correct (secure) channel, she gives Hill one last nod and is out of the Quinjet and down the fire escape just as a red-clad shape 'flies' through the doorway of the warehouse in question. "Hill, we have red tights in play. No ID yet, was moving too fast."

*

Really? "They're glasses, you can replace these for a buck at Wal-Mart," Hill says to May when the shades are offered over. But, May is more than welcome to jump on out. She'll stay behind and take care of tactical operations and such. Fury would probably have her head if she went in after the Joker without, oh, fifty well-armed agents assisting her. C'est la vie.

Her first course of action is to switch to the jet's thermal imagers, particularly after seeing the mirrored maze which has been set up inside of the building. May's job is to get in there and handle the proper ass-kickery. -Hill's- job is to make sure that May can do hers.

And all of the rest of SHIELD. No rest for the wicked.

"That didn't take long," she growls with the first mysterious figure sighting. Those guys are always getting in the way!

*

The place is not soundproofed. Not by a long shot. Actually it's pretty echo-y. As the sound bounces around he can definitely get a sense of the way the maze is laid out, can hear the terrified whimpering and the growls of what sound like dogs but are weirdly muted and distorted. A cellphone rings on a small table then immediately switches on to speaker.

"Hello hero." The tone is mocking. "By now I'm sure you've figured out how this game works. This building is rigged to blow six ways from Sunday. If you can get one group of hostages, you get the reward of having saved someone and having your heroics broadcast for all the world to see. Well, provided the boys in blue don't cut the feed first. Oh and if you try to knock the walls down… game over."

If May somehow has a way to get that thermal feed, it quite clearly shows the two groups of hostages… and several somethings patrolling the maze.

*

Daredevil, in his normal fashion, gives no response to the phone and throws caution to the wind. While before he waited, now he's in attack mode going through the building as fast as he can. He takes a turn, then another, then another, as he works deeper into the labyrinth in an attempt to get to the hostages as quick as possible.

*

Melinda May makes it to the building quickly enough, huffs to herself in annoyance at all the mirrors, then as the cell phone echoes through the area, she looks up to see if they reach all the way to the ceiling, or if she can simply go over everything. Her initial thought HAD been to just pull a Banner and smash through the mirrors, but the Joker's voice on the phone nixed that idea quickly enough. "Did you get that, Hill? If you can see where Red is going, I'll try for the other group."

If the warehouse ceiling is one of those way tall affairs with girders all over the place (Barton-land, in May's mind), going over would definitely be the easiest. She starts pulling a black silk sash with weighted ends from a pocket on her vest.

*

It may not be an ideal solution but Hill gets to be May's eyes. The jet, and those glasses, provides the Deputy Director with intel which can then be given via secure comms to May. Things would have played out a little differently if they had a proper opportunity to get outfitted and prepped, but hey. That's what training and teamwork is for.

"No no your -other- left! Just - no, that is a wall, check your - yes, there, go go go!"

Heck, you try multi-tasking as much as she gets to on a daily basis and not lose all of your patience.

*

It's… kind of like a rottweiler. About the same size, and very… very vicious. The moment it draws eyes on Daredevil it charges and it is fast. Very fast. The facial features on it, clearly 'visible' as it snaps and snarls, are elongated, distorted… and the teeth the teeth are serrated and there's more than one row. It really, really wants to nom on some Daredevil.

When May finally gets up top, she can see the two groups of hostages toward the back and about five more dogs patrolling the maze. The moment Daredevil runs into the first, the nearest two make a beeline… or near as one can in a maze, for the sound.

*

Daredevil brings his billy club down towards the head of the augmented beast and leaps into a full flip in an attempt to put himself behind the pooch from hell. Rather than sit and play paddy-cake, he decides that stalling will do no one any good.

*

Melinda May uses the silk sash much like Red's rope-thing, and once she's got a clear view of everything — including those really effing ugly dog things — she calls down to the mask: "Up into the rafters!" Then, keeping one hand on the girders supporting her weight, she hastily wrenches a rusty bolt free with her other hand and shines it down at one of the other two dog-things headed toward Daredevil. She's not nearly as good as Barton, but hopefully she'll peg the critter SOMEwhere and get it to stop charging.

*

A very heavy bolt beams the rott-thing behind Daredevil moments after he flips over it. Curious thing… May is most certainly 'cheating' and the building isn't exploded yet. Odd.

Ahead of The Man With Good Ears, more growling and more terrified wimpering sounds out. He's going to get up to a fork and have to choose… children or teachers? Both are, by the scent, surrounded by barrels of gassoline…

*

"Go after the teachers, I'll take the students," Daredevil says to May as he leaps impossibly up onto the side of one of the mirrors towards the other side then up to the rafters, trying to cut the distance between himself and the students—and to avoid those dogs.

*

Melinda May is NOT cheating. She isn't smashing through the mirrors, after all. The voice said nothing about going OVER. "Right," she calls back to Red and with the help of her black silk sash she's crossing the rafters at a good pace. "Hey, Red. Do you have a commlink?" Hill should be able to patch him in if so, and maybe then they can plan to reach both groups at the exact same time. After all, the Joker only said the group reached first. If they're BOTH first…

*

Alerted to the issue by the many eyes she has online, Oracle is sliding through the network of connections in that building, working to close off the broadcast and to open eyes up on the Joker. Babs herself is sitting in her Tower, the damage not entirely repaired to tower or woman yet, her bruised jaw showing, the missing elevator shown by the torn metal door. Comlinks can be hacked into and so she speaks softly, even as her fingers fly over the keyboard, gaining access to the security cameras of the building. "This is Oracle. How many I help?"

*

The moment Daredevil leaves the maze, the dogs begin to bark. It's setting up a rather frightful din. Reaching the hostages though, like this, will be no problem at all. From any vantage point above, the sight of trussed up hostages is quite easily visible. There are basement accesses near both, offering quick egress, though both seem to be locked and in any case, the hostages are very, very bound.

Oracle in particular, since she's looking through electronic eyes can see a green haired man sitting in a seat in the corner of the maze, intently watching what looks to be a flat screen television and holding a device that could very well be a detonator. He's about, judging from the building layout and visual cues… 40 yards from the maze proper, in the manufacturing section of the building.

*

Daredevil takes the shortest way between two spots, trying to get to the students as quick as he can. Once he arrives, he feels the bonds, seeing if he can cut through them with his club. "Hold on," he says quietly as he approaches the children. He kneels down and begins to check the lock on the egress, hoping he can break it with a well placed strike.

*

Melinda May mutters a curse to herself as Red rushes past without bothering to give her a chance to explain, and tries to get to the group of teachers as fast as possible. Which means dropping from the rafters and probably scaring the heck out of them, but better that than letting them burn. A small but very sharp blade is brandished to cut the closest and least-panicky teacher free, then passed to that person to keep going with the others while she heads for the basement access she noticed. The clock is REALLY ticking now.

*

With eyes on the Joker, Oracle smiles and quietly works to switch the feed to his monitor to a subtle loop feed, keeping his vision the same, her fingers flying, the screens reflecting in her glasses. "Give me two…" The murmur is for Melinda's ears at the least, working to hit that moment before the others cut the victims loose.

*

Indeed it is. It hasn't been that long but… well, maybe the Joker's watch is fast. "Time's running out tights." He laughs in that disturbing way of his. A couple of the older kids have the presence of mind to help the Man With No Fear untie the rest of them. The basement escape… iiiiis indeed locked. It's gonna be a near thing.

On May's end, the teachers have been duct taped up and seem relieved that she's there. In time they're all free… and then one from the back pulls a gun. "Nice work, Hero." She says with a manic laugh. "Time for your reward."

No change on any of Oracle's screens but she has access to everything now. Feeds, broadcast, the works. Something's not right. Those cameras aren't regular cameras. They're recording on a lot of spectrums: IR, Gamma, Thermal… and there's a lot more of them on May and Daredevil than anyone else

*

Daredevil snaps the lock with a hefty kick and begins to usher out the students as quickly as possible, saving himself for last. For a second he stops, focusing on the other part of the warehouse, seeing if he can hear how May is doing.

*

Melinda May is about to start working on the lock when that one 'teacher' does the crazy laugh and pulls a gun. Almost as fast, she sends one of the weighted ends of her sash straight at Ms. Cackle, aiming to either knock the gun aside or maybe crack the woman's face. Either would work, really.

*

"Oh boy."

Oracle's frown deepens and her mind flies, rapid commands undermining the Joker's recording, to replace it with the ones she feeds it, pretending all is well that they aren't moving fast enough.

"Alright." Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness, perhaps, and she finally speaks to May, "This is a study, and you are the mice. Your actions now are going to predict future actions, and he wants to know how you tick. Careful. I'm working to change it."

Information, but perhaps not useful at this stage. Her fingers fly, tampering with his data, ruin any internal viability for his little study.

*

Crack! The gun goes tumbling to the ground moments before the other teachers tackle the madwoman and restrain her. Across the warehouse, Daredevil descends into a dark tunnel basement, though there is fortunately access to the outside.

"Five… four… three… two… one… time’s up!" That was not fifteen minutes. Outside the warehouse, the barrels go off and within, other hidden explosives detonate. A sharp ka-crack! resounds around the block, the results being the same both inside and out: Confetti begins to rain down everywhere.

"Ah, that was a most informative audition. You'll be getting callbacks from my people. Next time… it'll be a full dress rehersal, so remember to read your lines. Oh and if anyone sees our star or his friends…" The Joker's voice becomes low and menacing. "Tell him I said hi…"

*

Melinda May is about to turn back to the basement access door when the crack echoes through the room and she flinches. Not at the sound, but at the CONFETTI. Looking at the teachers and seeing they have this well enough in hand for the moment, she turns and races toward where she thought she saw a single person. If that's the Joker, she is SO going to put a dent in his skull he won't forget for DAYS. CONFETTI.

*

The word muttered by Oracle into Melinda's ear is not a complimentary one for the Joker, and her fingers fly, corrupting his data into worthless chunks that simply look as if they might be of use. The single person can be tracked, the security cameras and the Joker's own network used to locate him, so that Oracle can pass that onwards.

*

The dogs seem to have all been trained that confetti means it's time to sleep, because they've all decided that's the thing to do. The man with the green hair isn't moving. Something is wrong. Very wrong. Oracle has a better vantage now than May does and the guy… simply isn't moving. At all. Regardless there's now a clamoring of confused police voices as HRT and EOD both burst in, confused, keyed up and rather upset.

*

Melinda May doesn't bother to stop to reassure the cops, she's got a bead on that green-haired douchebag and she's not stopping. She does, though, finally reply to Oracle. "Please tell me you still have a bead on this Fánnao. He's mine." Yes, she just called the Joker a very impolite word. In Chinese.

*

Oracle is scanning, seeking the source of the confusion, of the voices, "I don't believe he is in the building." The words are quiet, a reply to May, and she widens her search, the green eyes narrowing behind the glasses. "Working on it." Every camera is hers, the security forces all reporting unknowingly to her data set, rapidly searched for his location.

*

May is headed in the right direction for someone though. She clears the maze after less than a minute and finds herself on the old production line. There, in a corner, is a man with pasty white skin and green hair, staring intently at a TV set. He's got… something in his hand, but neither moves nor even looks at the SHIELD agent. After a long moment a familiar, taunting voice drifts over from that direction. "Oh there you are."

Signals, yes Oracle has them. There's a satellite beaming directly into the building. Right… to a phone approximately twenty feet to Agent May's left. Yes… seems the Joker has left the building. If indeed he was ever in it.

*

Oracle bites back a curse, and a momentary movement of her hands works to trace that signal back. "He is riding on a signal, nowhere near us. Give me a moment."

*

Melinda May stops at that. "Not in the building?" She mutters another crude word or two in Chinese, then once she's within about a dozen feet of the unmoving figure she sets the sash to spinning so fast it's practically whirring, then kicks it straight at the something in the man's hand. If she breaks a finger or wrist, well, she won't cry about it. And, Oracle gets her moment.

*

The object is a cellphone, or to be more specific, a satellite enabled cellphone. It clatters to the ground as the figure looks up at her with glazed eyes from the TV showing nothing but static. "Ow! Whadja do tha' for! He slurs a bit.

"Hello Agent. I'm assuming agent anyway. Not many people fly around on those fancy jets." The phone says in front of May. The signal can be traced pretty easily for someone of Oracle's skill. Just a matter of following it back… there. The source is another satellite phone operating in the Bronx. Exact location coming up in just a moment.

"You know, that really was good for someone who's only human. Most of these hero types need some kind of an edge, some 'super power' to compete."

*

Melinda May glares at the phone and the dazed man, then turns to stare down the nearest police officer and tilt her head toward the not-Joker while reeling her sash back in and stalking away. If anyone tries to stop her, she flashes her SHIELD badge at them — probably too fast for them to get more than "SHIELD" — as she makes her way back toward the exit and tells Hill she's on her way back.

"Oracle, someone's not doing their job if that bag of cats got this far into Manhattan. I want an explanation."

*

"Working. He is in the Bronx, or the signal is from there." The words are a murmur to May, Oracle's fingers flying, her frown in place once more. "Can we wait explanations for a moment? I don't have all the answers yet." But she will, and she is working on it now.

*

It's mild chaos outside. The police have swarmed all over the place, taking the hostages and dupes, both of whom turn out to be - surprise - patients recently reported missing from nearby Psych facilities, into custody. The Bomb squad is painstakingly going over the place just to make sure the Joker didn't leave any more lethal surprises and the dogs will be taken in for study. Lord knows what those are.

Oracle's phone trace reveals that the phone is registered to one Joseph Kerr and was, apparently, recently purchased. In fact the date of said 'purchase' coincides with the crime spree that happened a couple weeks ago. "Time… for the Carinvale…" Is the last thing said over the line before it goes dead.

*

Melinda May makes it back to the Quinjet and takes back her aviators and piloting duties and leaves Hill the ever so wonderful job of reporting in to HQ about what just happened. Hey, she has the shiny title and shiny office, she gets the shiny duties to match. …for some definition of the word 'shiny', anyway. Switching back to the larger headset, May makes sure Oracle can still hear her. "Time's up. Where is he?"

*

Oracle's sigh can be heard at the other end of the line, her fingers removing her glasses to rub her eyes for a moment. "This is complex. The cell phone is a legitimately set up service, for someone called Joseph Kerr. He was outside, at a crossroads in the Bronx. Tracing him now through the security camera network to see where he is moving towards."

She leans back in the chair, replacing her glasses, continuing slowly,

"All of his people are patients from the mental hospital, and they broke into the broadcast station for him." Her fingers move over the keyboard, prompting searches, subroutines, "Checking tunnels, sewers…"

*

There it is. Sewer access near the last known location of the signal, someone in a rumpled pinstripe suit with green hair. He immediately begins to move for the maze of defunct subway tunnels that have been condemned or abandoned over the years. Very little works down there and most of them are old indeed. When he makes it there he'll be off the grid. Come to think of it, some of those connect to old drainage tunnels near the harbor. That may be how this idiot got in. Still, it's enough to place him hiding out, for the present anyway, somewhere underground in the eastern end of the Bronx.

*

Melinda May starts the quinjet back toward the main SHIELD HQ building, as there's not much else she can do at the moment, and the bird is eating fuel just sitting on this helipad.

"That's… Do you have to deal with this level of crap every day, Oracle?"

*

"There!" The word is pleased but Oracle knows him too well to celebrate, and she continues to work, finding maps of the old tunnels there, gathering data, her fingers flying. "East Bronx, underground." She sighs, watching him go, knowing those tunnels are beyond any video feed she might gain. No idiot, that. She lifts her hand, removing her glasses, rubbing her eyes tiredly.

"No. Sometimes it is complicated." An attempt at humor perhaps and she leans back in the chair, replacing her glasses, speaking with Melinda, her smile coming through the faintly digitalised voice.

"He is a unique case. Avoid him if you can, he is deadly."
