Fade In…

It does not take much to get word out, or to find what you desire in Gotham if you have the right amount of power and the connections. It is no question Zatanna will want her cracked crystal back, and Catwoman has no need for it. It's value is of nothing that contributes to her stores monetarily, and otherwise… Nothing of her interests… For now.

So where communication had once been sent for them to meet a response is filtered out into the dark ether. Come get your trinket little bird. A location is noted but when Zatanna arrives there what she will meet is an empty corner outside of East End, but behind the walls man-made of tireless cars, rubble, and rebar you can hear the gunfire, a few cracks heralding here and there like thunder of a passing storm. Not what it once was in the taken and claimed warzone - falling to the hand that feeds. The 'silence' though, is man-made by a forceful hand, when Zatanna gets there two black SUVs speed to that corner and a back door opens with Rodaga in the back, buffing his nails that are polished neatly with a clear coat, dusky skinned and eyes of a creole hue green and gold focus on the woman.

"Well, don't jus' stand d'ere, get'cher ass in here girly."

As soon as Zatanna obliges the door will b closed by a large man in a suit behind her, sealing her into the transport as the small envoy moves onward and into East End.

The message is received welcomly. The meeting will give the young Magician another chance to speak with Catwoman, if nothing else. Retrieving the pendulum is important, but so is tracking down Darque.

As Zee enters the vehicle, she casts a dubious look around her. At least she left a message about where she was going but still, she's fairly certain that when she returns some of her friends are going to have words with her.

Settling into the seat of the car, the raven haired woman studies Rodaga carefully choosing to remain silent for the time being. After several moments, she turns her attention to the windows and watches the street as the East End draws near.

Seated in the vehicle was Rant. There was a little need to go along with them so that Zee herself wouldn't be uncomfortable. So it was a little surprise as Zee enters the vehicle, Rant's features light up a little bit and darken all at once to keep the air of professionalism about her. "Zatana." She says in greeting, making a little bit of room for Rodaga to settle in next to her.

Possibly forgotten, it's at least a good chance to see how Catwoman lives, as well as Rant. New York may be home? But Gotham is where one lays her head. Just as Lucifer lays his head upon her shoulder, the wily cat.

"It'll be okay. It's just a precaution so you won't get hurt."

East End rolls by, and those in the streets openly bearing weapons at their sides seem to be the police here, a take over eident, but of a different militaristic scale. Some would call East End annexed and anarchal bearing marshall law if they were not within the 'gated community'. But the ones that bear the marks and all the signs seem to be conversing and at ease with the denizens while children run freely. It's gated, but from something else entirely.

Pulling up before the Tin Roof Club the SUV's come to a stop and Keith as well asanother approach from the doors and their post to open the vehicle up and allow Rodaga, Rant, and Zatana to exit.

Inside the club it is still, but it is early yet, girls bustle about getting ready while bouncers get outfitted with earpieces and weapons for their shift.

"Oh nono honey. Those stockings do not go with that skirt! What choo thinkin'?!" Rosaga enters with his usual flare, stepping down the entry foyers steps towards one of the women to grip her gingerly and usher her to the back.

Sitting upon one of the tables where a man is beside her, Catwoman in that head to toe and curvature hugging liquid shadow only shifts upon the plush pliancy of hip to cup his face in her hand while the other is obviously taking a small velvet bag from him.

Zee smiles faintly at Rant as her attention is drawn from the streets "I know" she says quietly and obviously appreciates the other womans presence.

"My thanks for the transport." the Mistress of Magic smiles at Rodaga and one for Rant for the company. With barely a glance for the poorly dressed woman, Zee's eyes are drawn to Catwoman and she makes her way towards her, booted feet thudding purposefully as she strides.

Glancing to see if Rant will follow, Zee pauses in front of that table and greets the woman with a nod.

Rant smiles a little as she keeps Lucifer calm for their little outing, the cat did enjoy the outdoors, but to let this little minx out alone would be asking for an entire city of stray babies. He was a playboy.

As the car pulls into east end and right at the Tin Roof, Rant was the last one to exit, her face slightly drawn weirdly as Rodaga scolds the badly dressed, the kitten dropped himself down, rushing into the club with Rant close on his heel.

The cat takes flight upstairs, where Melody stops, her hands upon her hips as she turns towards Catwoman and the man she 'courts', she tucks her hands into the pockets of her jeans as she stroll towards the woman. "Got a joke. So, two strings walk into a bar and the bartenders say.. We don't serve your kind here. So, the strings were all sad and walked out, but then they get an idea and walk back in together. So, the bartender says.. wait.. weren't you just in here? And the two strings say together.. No, knot us!"

And then she laughs. Even with a little snort.

No one in the club is /poorly/ dressed. Her shit did not match and Rodaga is more up the alley of the fashion then that of pulling the trigger, but he and Rant are perhaps the better faces to be escorted in with.

The man seated in the booth while Catwoman is practically sprawled atop it, is now discarded. Her hand that cupped his face releases it with a flick, her fingers downturn and flick forward in a 'shoo' motion. The man scowls, casting a glance to Zee that is very illicit before he disappears into the bodies of the personnel.

Catwoman watches him go, and then those jade eyes flick up, snapping back to Zee who is before her. That hand to shoo now flips to the side, pointing to the seat the man had occupied. "If only Edward was here to solve a riddle for me, although I think I might have this one part way there. Your crystal has no worth being in such poor shape, what's it's true value?"

Pausing though when Rant approaches with her joke, Catwoman's head just drops. Chin to chest, limply hanging as if life had left her and the marionette string went lax. But lightly in her shoulders you can she the shake of laughter. She really needed to find where Edward went off two, he and her would likely lavish in eachothers company.

Zee snorts softly at Rants joke before collecting herself and trying to maintain a cool, calm demeanour. At 19, she has a lot of confidence but when faced with a woman like Catwoman? That takes more than just confidence. The illicit look from the man probably doesn't help either … or maybe it does…

Folding her arms loosely across her chest and cocking a hip "It was a gift from a friend." the words spoken in confidence, Zee meets Catwomans eyes and holds the look.

Score. Rant got a laugh. That's all she really needed. Most of all now. It felt strange being back in Gotham, eyes constantly upon the corner and the ceiling, which was soon met with a slight sigh as she allows the two women to do business while she approaches the bar to straddle a stool with a hop, skip, and a jump.

"I'll just take a glass of milk." Rant eeyore's to the tender, who all but shakes his head and pours her a nice glass of iced water instead.

"Milks for the cats. You know that. You set up that rule."
"So if I want to eat some cereal I'm assed out, huh?"
"Yeah, if you ever eat cereal."

Melody laughs a little, then draws out her tablet, putzing around just enough to look busy. She was still listening in on the conversation, though.

"A magician and a broken flawed crystal." Catwoman levels her gaze on Zee, obviously incredulous, though it is foretold on her face, the visible lips curling into a half-cocked grin all the while behind the goggle lenses her eyes narrow.

One hand rises, a single digit crooking to curl into the loop at her neck, tugging the zipper of her suit slowly downward. The velvet bag she held tucked within then, and from there the pendulum is withdrawn with the same slight of hand that removed it from Zatanna in the first place.

Dangling it before the woman, held on a crooked finger and a silver claw flashing to anchor it in plaace, Catwoman watches Mel and then inquires. "You know this girl? Do you know what this is… /Exactly?/"

Zee had removed the diamond encrusted collar before attending this meeting, but she's sure Catwoman remembers it. Zee shrugs "Just like the collar I normally wear. It was given to me by a friend." Zee draws in a deep breath "I wear them because they were gifts." True enough, in both cases. "I'm sure you understand that I've learned my lesson, which is why the collar is at home." she smiles a little sardonically. She's learned her lesson and she really doesn't want her friends to get involved, it could get messy.

Turning to watch Melody when Catwoman questions her, Zee cants her head. This should be interesting.

The water was nursed as she messes around with Two Dots upon her tablet, her lips twisting as she brings her gaze towards Catwoman, then to the pendant.. and then towards Zee. "Hm? Yeah, I know her. But I don't know what that thing is." Her cheeks begin to sparkle just a little as she focuses in upon the dangling pendant, her iris' growing wide as saucers as she examines it from afar.

"I'd throw it in the garbage. It's broken."

Yeah, real profound, Rant.

"Collars are for pets. Unless they want to be on all fours it is best left in the bedroom." Catwoman croons towards Zee, slowly her body slides from its sprawl upon the table like a liquid shadow. "Even my Amenti wears no collar." Steel tipped stilettos meet the floor and the gap between herself and Zee is closed all the while her other hand is ascending, the teeth on that zipper grinding out their solemn song of (dis)closure.

"Do tell me, magician. How is your friend?" The pendulum is swung to and fro like the object it was, all before slipping it from around her finger to have it fall in Zee's lap.

Zee knows exactly who's pet she is and she's not letting on. She smirks a little at the bedroom visual "I might just have to try that…" As the pendulum falls into her lap, the young magi resists the urge to snatch at it. With a great will of effort, she lets it lie there for a moment before casually picking it up and attaching it to her hip. "My friend is returned, thank you for asking." beat "It was Darques doing."

Blank stare gone toward Selina. For fucks sake! "You were trying to brand me the ot.." No, no Rant. Just let it go. Any high emotion will throw you back into the world of getting high and beating thugs. Though, she technically can't get high anymore.. But it was whatever!

Friends.. friends.. friends.. all this talk about friends causes her to snort softly, finish off her water, and prepares to head up the stairs. That is.. until she stops. Darque? She.. was that the guy with the nasty bug slug that was kicked off into Gotham? Groce.

But, she continues on up the stairs. She had to check on the servers. "Bye Zee.." She calls down. She wasn't rude at all!
