Reputation

Foggy has a very strong reputation in Hell's Kitchen — and now most of New York City — where he serves the locals as their representation. He has started to become a bit of a billionaire's lawyer, much to his disappointment. But he is very well respected. Even the cops kind of like him.

Biography

Franklin Percy Nelson grew up in Hell's Kitchen. His father owned the local hardware store — which meant he had a wide variety of customers, and not always those meaning to buy black trash bags to haul garbage, nor a hammer just for some modest carpentry. But something about Mr. Nelson meant that no one really crossed him or messed with his family, which gave Franklin a sense of safety in a place where the sound of police sirens was just normal background noise.

From an early age, Foggy — so dubbed in his early elementary school days — had dreams of becoming a lawyer, though his mother quite obsessed with him becoming a butcher. He was sure this was because of her love affair with her kitchen, where cooking hearty meals was just every day. Imagine how inexpensive her beef stew would be if her son was the local supplier.

Alas, that was not how it all fell into place. Foggy proved to be a smart and able student, graduating valedictorian and scoring a one-way ticket to Columbia University, where he stayed for both his undergraduate degree in criminal justice, and his law degree soon after. It was that fateful first year of law school where he met his best friend, Matthew Murdock — a name he had heard in the Kitchen as a kid blinded in an accident.

Matt and Foggy clicked instantly, and they became each other's wingmen through their law school years, and ended up agreeing to become partners in the wide world of lawyering. They ended up as interns at the lawfirm Landman and Zack. Though, despite Nelson's hope to score paying positions wiht the company, Matt convinced him to start their own firm: Nelson and Murdock.

Character Details

Foggy is extremely loyal, strong-willed, and finds comfort in humor. He is quick with a joke when things get uncomfortable. He has a lovable side to him that few can resist, and he makes friends exceptionally easily.
